Carved Oak Pedestal Sideboard in the Style of EW Pugin

DescriptionCirca 1860. A wonderful carved oak mirror back sideboard in the manner of E.W. Pugin. The tryptic mirror back with each of the gothic-shaped mirrors contained in an oak frame with a small pierced section in each corner, the tops with extended carved finials intersected by Fleur de Lis and carved leaves, the shaped flat surface with extended sections, the carved frieze concealing 3 drawers, with the facings carved with, vines, thistles, roses and shamrocks,  the gables with carved vines and lined-folds, the pedestals with 2 doors with octagonal columns, and Gothic tracery, open to reveal a shelved area, and a wine box in the other side, the base following the form of the top.Dimensions:180cm High x 248cm Wide x 79cm DeepPeriod 1837-1901: VictorianCategories Cabinets Dining Room Side Cabinets & Credenzas Sideboards & Chiffoniers
